This chapter, an introductory conversation between two midwives, Cristina and Justina, about difficult births and the avoidance thereof where possible, describes how a midwife can help laboring women in these unnatural cases that occur so often. Justina describes her experiences while handling situations where women and children were under the risk of losing their lives during childbirth. The chapter presents a series of questions and answers regarding various issues related to childbirth in the form of an account of experiences of a midwife. A midwife must be well informed about the womb and its parts, along with its inward mouth. Thereafter, everything will take its due course.
