This chapter analyzes the notion of "political disposition" (politische Gesinnung) as a theory of the social constitution of a political subjectivity. Contrary to his former ideal of a resetting of the Greek polis, Hegel considers in the Philosophy of Right that true patriotism must be rooted in the social culture.
