This book is the eleventh is a series of NBER volumes emerging from an ongoing research program on the economics of aging. The contributions in this volume are organized into four topic areas: retirement saving, intergenerational transfers, retirement behavior, and health and economic circumstances. This introductory chapter provides an overview of these contributions.
