It argues that the parallel evolution of cybernetic process has been a major codeterminant of complexification process or the evolution of complex systems over time. This chapter highlights the role of cybernetic control processes in living systems of all kinds and explains how Synergism Hypothesis relates specifically to the evolution of cybernetic systems in human societies.
